In Vice Student Guide 2010, Jamie Lee Curtis Taete says "Doing a degree in photography is a gigantic, expensive, pointless scam." and "You will spend three years learning how to "read" photos while unqualified, failed photographers attempt to give you career advice." This makes me question the value of arts degrees these days. To me, work experience is of equal value, and perhaps even more, and if you're in a good position to gain experience in the industry, would going to uni be necessary? This is the dilema I'm in right now.
